This week, on the 3rd to the 4th of December, the AIRCONTACT`19 organised by the ACstyria Mobilitätscluster took place. Many thanks to voestalpine BÖHLER Aerospace GmbH & Co KG and FH JOANNEUM that we were able to participate at the conference day!
Everything was under the topic Technologies – Production – Markets: The supply chain revolution. A lot of great presentations during this conference gave us insight into E-Aircraft, technology changes, challenges for suppliers, additive manufacturing and many more! To name some companies: Liebherr-Aerospace, easyJet, Airbus BizLab, Rolls Royce, .. impressed us with interesting speeches.
As the AIRCONTACT is an event where not only the Austrian but also the international aerospace industry meets, we had the opportunity of networking and coming together with companies’ representatives and talked about state-of-the-art technologies. Bobby, the contest airplane of our previous Design-Build-Fly Team was also there and gained a lot of prying eyes.
We finished our day at the Airport Graz with a lot of new thoughts regarding currently arising issues in the industry and are pleased to be part of such an event as students, maybe contributing new ideas in future conferences.
